To me, the key to designing an inspiring, creative, and fulfilling life is to set a worthy goal and then strive to attain it by focusing on the process.
Setting a worthy goal → something that is challenging, inspiring, meaningful to you, involves self-growth, and has the potential to improve the world.
Focusing on the process → realize that fulfillment comes from the day-to-day and not when you attain said goal. Just by setting a worthwhile target and making sustained progress, you are already there. Enjoy it.
Scale this over to decades, with a new worthy goal every 10 years or so (or just going deeper into the same one), and you've got the recipe for a very unique, creative, and interesting life.
One full of mastery.
This involves constructing the right mountain for yourself. One that would make for a challenging climb and meet all the other criteria above as well.
